Will Futurama take place in the present?
From the animated series, Futurama, I have a feeling that it will take place in the present because in Benders Big score, which was their most recent production, the rip the space time continuum and i assume that it will take place in the present, like 2000. Im not sure, i highly doubt this, but so far, they have put almost every single detail into all episodes/movies and they intertwine i guess?
ohh my bad, its not the newest but still, its all good, and it is coming back even with the old/current cast
Bender’s Big Score was the first of four straight to DVD movies that the Futurama producers were using to see if it was viable to bring the show back. Since all 4 sold quite well they have renewed the show on comedy central. The movies won’t be quite as intertwined with the rest of the series as the new shows will be I imagine. There was a good chance they didn’t think they’d actually be coming back after that so just threw everything they had at the movies. I’d say the new series will still be set sometime after the year 3000.

Um… Benders Big score is definitely not the most recent, it is the first of four straight to DVD movies, all of which are now released, after Benders Big Score comes -Beast with a billion Backs-, then -Benders Game-, And then -Into The wild green Yonder- all four movies are going to be slpit into four episodes and air on comedy central as a 16 episode season, but you can buy the dvds now, also futurama has been renewed for a new 26 episode season because of the success of the dvds, i dont really know any more about the new season as it was anounced not long ago and the only new news ive heard is that the cast is returning.
sorry forgot to mention no none of the movies take place in the present
